By successfully completing this course participants will receive the following competencies:

• HLTFA301B Apply First Aid
• PUAEME001B Provide Emergency Care
• PUAEME002C Manage Injuries at an Emergency Incident

This course prepares you to provide first aid response, life support and management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

This course incorporates the content of 'Perform CPR' and 'Provide Basic Emergency Life Support'.

Costs:

$155 per person for general public, $75 per person for SLSSA registered members

Course Prerequisites:

1 Day Course:

For new participants or for those whose First Aid qualification has expired:

• completion of a workbook prior to attending the course (duration of workbook approximately 4-8 hours).

 For people who hold a current First Aid qualification:

• provide a copy of your Statement of Attainment if your qualification was issued by a Registered Training Organisation other than SLSSA.
• Renewal required every 3 years (renewal of CPR required annually).
