Surf Life Saving SA

Club Development

Surf Life Saving South Australia currently has 18 clubs with a total membership in excess of 8000, which continues to grow each year. In order to keep our clubs and members motivated and to ensure the future viability of the organisation, it is important that we provide opportunities to develop their skills and abilities.

Developing our clubs and members is more than simply teaching the skills required for surf lifesaving, it is also about developing skills that can be used in everyday life.

Surf Life Saving SA is currently looking at all aspects of club and member development including:

  • Develop, coordinate and implement activities and programs related to membership and youth development.
  • Enhance membership recruitment, retention and transition through the various age levels and functions within surf lifesaving.
  • Develop, conduct and coordinate personal and leadership development activities, programs, policies and resources for all levels of the organisation.
  • Develop, implement and monitor Development Plans for Surf Life Saving SA.
