Beach Safe

A day at the beach should be a wonderful experience. South Australia has over 1,700 beaches with a number of them recognised amongst the best not only in Australia, but the world.

From calm bays, to the well known (and secret) surfing spots, to soft white sands through to deep crystal blue waters our coastline is an amazing part of the the South Australia culture.

However. along our magnificent coastline are many spots that to the unknowing can be a place of immense danger. It is ever more vital that all visitors take the time to understand the environment they are heading into, know their limitations and understand what to do should trouble occur.

Through the pages in this section and many others on this site a variety of information, tips and courses are detailed to make your day at the beach one of fond memories.

Take the time to look around.
