Westpac
Surf Life Saving and Westpac - A New Generation Partnership

As major sponsor of the Year of the Surf Lifesaver during 2007,
Westpac will be involved in a series of events which will
commemorate the rich history of surf lifesaving in Australia.
Westpac has also become the major sponsor of the Junior State
Surf Life Saving Championships in each state and the Northern
Territory, contributing to the development of the skills of the
next generation of surf lifesavers.
And as principal national partner for the Westpac Surf Lifesaving
Public Fundraising Appeal, Westpac will ensure that SLSA can go on
saving lives well into the next generation.
The relationship between Westpac Banking Corporation and Surf Life
Saving in Australia is the most durable in the organisation's
history.
It began in Sydney in 1973, with the sponsorship of the country's
first rescue helicopter service, by the then Bank of
NSW.
Since then, it has grown to include support of Life Saver Rescue
helicopter services including the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue
Helicopter in South Australia. Click here to go to the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue
Helicopter Page.
The most recent evolution of this relationship will see Westpac at
the heart of an organisation which has saved more than 500,000
lives since 1907.
Westpac's valued relationship with Surf Life Saving is a part of their ongoing commitment to ensure that every generation lives better than the last.
