Telstra

The Telstra and SLSA partnership commenced in 2003 with the objective of extending the reach of various surf lifesaving programs. This has resulted in many achievements inlcuding:
- Surf lifesavers have travelled 97,436 kms to reach 79,981 students in 635 schools with surf safety messages as part of the Telstra Beach to Bush program
- More than 10,500 school students from 598 schools have participated in the School Surf League competitions
- 160 needy surf clubs have shared $500,000 worth of equipment grants through the Telstra Surf Life Saving Assistance Fund
- 32 leading young surf lifesaving members have contributed to the Telstra National Youth Forums
The implementation of this partnership involving SLSA, Telstra and
the Australian community has built a strong platform for the
relationship to continue to mutual benefit.
