DHL Australia has entered its fourth (4th) year of a long term
relationship with Surf Life Saving.
DHL's distinctive logo, also red and yellow, is now visible on all
Australian beaches, appearing on surf lifesaving patrol uniforms
nationally and on all patrol tents in South Australia.
DHL also supports surf lifesaving through the DHL Surf Lifesaver of
the Year, DHL Volunteer of the Year and DHL Lifeguard of the Year
awards.
DHL's vision also extends to supporting lifesaving in the Asia
Pacific region, with a focus on encouraging developing
nations.
During 2004-05, DHL commissioned a surf safety survey which found
that males are more likely to ignore surf safety warnings than
females. This valuable data has been used to improve the
communication of surf safety messages to all user groups.
